Professional Certification
Professional certification by AFCP recognizes the highly professional work by free paper associates. Free Paper professionals must be knowledgeable in all aspects of media and marketing and are subjected to rigorous exams and continuing education requirements.
Certification is available at three levels: Associate Advertising Executive (AAE), Certified Advertising Executive (CAE) and Master Advertising Executive (MAE).
Requirements to achieve the Associate Advertising Level:
- Attend at least 15 continuing education classes presented by The Leadership Institute
- Pass a rigorous comprehensive exam
- Achieve at least two years on-the-job experience in a sales and/or sales management position
Requirements to achieve the Certified Advertising Level:
- Attend at least 30 continuing education classes presented by The Leadership Institute with at least 15 of those classes being at the 200 level.
- Pass a second rigorous comprehensive exam
- Achieve at least four years on-the-job experience in a sales and/or sales management position
Requirements to achieve the Associate Advertising Level:
- Attend at least 45 continuing education classes presented by The Leadership Institute with at least 15 of those classes at the 300 level.
- Pass a third rigorous comprehensive exam
- Achieve at least six years on-the-job experience in a sales and/or sales management position
Certified professionals are licensed to display the AAE, CAE and MAE logos and letter designations on their business cards, letterhead and marketing materials.
