| The Association of Free Community Papers (AFCP) represents publishers of more than 3,000 free-circulation community papers, reaching an average 40 million homes weekly.
AFCP's members are owners, publishers, general managers and sales managers of free-circulation community newspapers throughout North America. Membership ranges from small, independently owned publications with circulations under 5,000, to divisions of major communications companies publishing millions of copies weekly. The common denominator among AFCP's membership is that all publications are distributed free-of-charge to readers in the area they serve.
AFCP is a member-driven organization, led by elected and appointed board members who set the group's direction and oversee its administration. Policies and ongoing activities are influenced by AFCP's standing committees; day-to-day operations are conducted by professional staff headquartered in Colorado. Membership in AFCP guarantees you the opportunity to network and learn from the best the industry has to offer.
