AFCP represents publishers of nearly 3,000 free-circulation community papers, reaching nearly 40 million homes weekly. Our members are owners, publishers, general managers and sales managers of free-circulation community newspapers throughout North America. Membership ranges from small, independently owned publications with circulations under 5,000, to free paper/shopping guide divisions of major communications companies publishing millions of copies weekly. The common denominator among members is that each publication is distributed free-of-charge to the market it serves.

To qualify for membership, a publisher must publish, on a regular basis with at least 12 issues per year, a publication that is distributed free of charge by rack, carrier or postal delivery.
